Successful Careers in Academic Medicine

This workshop summarizes important aspects of career development in academic medicine. Successful career paths and promotion strategy for advancement through patient care, education, and scholarly work is discussed. Each presentation is followed by a discussion or panel representation. Topics range from work as a clinician educator or clinician scientist to developing clinical programs, writing grants and manuscripts, and job negotiation, among other interesting topics. At the end of the workshop presentations, you should have a keen understanding of how to pursue successful careers in academic medicine.
