Article V - Duties of Officers

The duties of President, President-Elect, Past-President, and Secretary-Treasurer shall be those usually assigned to such Officers. Among other duties, the Secretary-Treasurer shall arrange for the printing of the program for each annual meeting and for publication of the abstracts. The Secretary-Treasurer is authorized by the Council to secure essential administrative assistance.

Article V - Duties of Officers

Section 1.

The duties of President, President-Elect, Past-President, and Secretary-Treasurer shall be those usually assigned to such Officers. Among other duties, the Secretary-Treasurer shall arrange for the printing of the program for each annual meeting and for publication of the abstracts. The Secretary-Treasurer is authorized by the Council to secure essential administrative assistance.

Section 2.

On an annual basis as part of the annual budget process, the Secretary/Treasurer and Finance Committee should review the salaries for all employees. This includes both SSCI and AJMS staff. The objective of this annual review is to ensure that salaries are consistent with what is fair and equitable in the field. A projected annual cost-of-living increase of 3% will be added but subject to adjustment. Approval of salaries requires concurrence of the Secretary/Treasurer and a majority of the Finance Committee.

Any increases in salaries for both SSCI and AJMS employees beyond cost-of -living increases should be submitted to the President and Secretary/Treasurer for review three months prior to when the changes are proposed to take place. These changes require the approval of a majority of the Finance Committee.
